The Ladies Pocket Magazine year 1830 volumes 1 and 2 bound in one
Printed in London. Language – English.
We own large collection of ladies periodicals from the 18th and 19th century. On occasion as we upgrade the volumes we own, we put others for sale. As we mentioned before in our auctions. Such publications have become scarcer and increasingly more valuable due to the constant destruction of these books. The beautiful hand coloured prints inside are removed for framing, and immediately destroyed by sunlight regardless how protective the glass is. We advocate conservation and preservation. Please respect the books and you will be rewarded with higher financial return in the future. If you would like to frame such images consider a reproduction. We offer high quality reproductions from nearly 5000 fashion and just as many flower engravings. Just drop us a line and we can find and reproduce almost any fashion print for you. We have done custom collections for many customers for their decor needs.
Now back to this little jewel. One of my personal favorite English language periodicals. The size is just slightly less than 4″ x 6″. The binding is in excellent condition. Early professional restoration to the spine with the original spine preserved. One of the best I have seen. Quarter round calf binding wirh marble sides with blind tooling on the leather. Tight, and without any loose pages.
The book – to the best of my understanding- is complete with all the coloured and black and white engravings still present – covering January to December 1830 with title pages for each volume.
