The Botanical Magazine or Flower-Garden Displayed by William Curtis Volumes 13 & 14 bound together
Volumes 13 and 14 – years 1799 and 1800. Green leather binding with gold tooling to boards and spine. Golf leaf applied to the sides of the book. I have tried to capture it in the pictures Binding appear to be contemporary and in excellent condition. Tight hinges, with very minimal bumping to the corners, the spine is a tad faded compared to the sides, and the sides have some faded areas. Please consult the pictures. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Size 9 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ (23.5 x 15 cm)
The volume includes – title pages for both volumes, indexes and all the plates called for are present within. I would venture to say none on the plates has foxing. The plates are clean and brightly coloured. Again, please consult the pictures offered.
Volume 13 contains plate numbers from 433 to 468 – 36 in all
Volume 14 contains plate numbers from 469 to 504 – 36 in all.
All in all the book is amazing shape for its age.
