1765 Ecole de Litterature School of Literature inscription 2 volumes

Contemporary Leather binding  – brown leather with gold and tooling on the spine .The leather is still in great condition, some wear on the hinges of volume 2, regardless of that both volumes are tightly bound and the books can be read without fear of falling apart. Please consult the pictures.

Volume 1 has a one line ex-lib. line on the inside of the front cover ( consult the picture)
Volume 2, has beautiful paste down stating that the book was given as a first place prize to Mathew Pourret in his Rhetoric’s class at the College de Saint-Ettienne. in the year of 1818 .
