The Botanical Magazine or Flower-Garden Displayed by William Curtis Volumes 5 & 6 bound together
Volumes 5 and 6 – years 1792 and 1793. Brown leather binding with gold ornaments. Binding appear to be contemporary and in excellent condition. Tight hinges, with minimal bumping and scuffing of the corners and the boards. Please consult the pictures. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Size 9 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ (23.5 x 15 cm)
The volume includes – title pages for both volumes, indexes and all the plates called for are present within. Very minimal foxing, I would say none on the plates. The plates are clean and brightly coloured. Again, please consult the pictures offered.
Volume 5 contains plate numbers from 145 to 180 – 36 in all
Volume 6 contains plate numbers from 181 to 216 – 36 in all.
On couple of occasions the order between 2 plates is reversed – for example plate 204 is bound before 205, but all are present within the volume.
